As part of our work on behalf of the parish, Corporation has been looking ahead to the fall. I hope you will put these dates in you calendar and plan to participate.
It feels hopeful to begin to look ahead and put some plans in place for the future. However, in the past few years we’ve also all had to learn to be flexible and to change our plans to accommodate the pandemic. These plans are all subject to change on short notice and updates will be posted on the church website.
September 10: Men’s Breakfast
September 11: Welcome Back Sunday
October 1: Fall Supper We’ve had a great success with the take out version of our fall supper over the past few years and so we’re planning to do this again. Volunteer sign ups will be available closer to the date.
October 2 at 4pm: Feast of St Francis with a blessing of the animals
October 23: Storytelling Event
Join us after the service for lunch and a chance for us to celebrate St George’s by telling stories from our past. In addition to sharing some historical artifacts and photos, we’re looking for people who would be willing to share a story or two from their time at St George’s. We’re looking to begin collecting those stories in May/June 2022 so please take some time to reflect on your memories of St George’s. If you can write your story down and pass it along to Rachel, great! You can also arrange to tell your story to a volunteer who will write it down.
