“The Transcona Food Bank is making an open call for community minded individuals to sit on the Transcona Food Bank Board of Directors. This is a volunteer position. The Transcona Food Bank runs foodbanks 13 times during a calendar year, averaging approximately 138 families at each foodbank. The Transcona Foodbank is operated out of the Transcona Memorial United Church and engages with approximately 80 volunteers and numerous community groups. The foodbanks serve on average 138 families. The Board meets, approximately 5-6 times in a calendar year, after a foodbank opening.
