Celebration of Black History

St. George’s celebrated Black History month on Sunday February 25, 2024, during the morning Holy Eucharist service. Rev Wilson Akinwale used the Talking Drum to prepare the parish for the service. Rev Wilson included activities and prayers throughout the service to highlight his birthplace. Rev. Wilson used the sermon time for a presentation on the Black History in Canada and the world. Following the service, the parish joined to gather for a lunch of Wilson’s favourite traditional foods. This event provided a wonderful time of fellowship at St. George’s.
